Art Practice Description

I consider my art practice to be a dialogue, one that accumulates through embodied experience. It is ongoing, recursive, and at times, deliberately incoherent. While each work within this practice stands autonomously, with its own logic and weight, it remains connected to the larger process from which it emerged.

To put it more directly: I work with a sense of totality that also acknowledges the fragmented. The whole and the loose are always speaking to each other.

My work exists in tension. With material decay, with structural violence, with the indifference that permeates everyday life. It is not made to comfort or resolve, but to interrupt complacency and expose denial. I place objects and images within the world to create moments of uneasy recognition, spaces where viewers encounter the unstable boundaries between presence and absence, visibility and neglect.

Practically speaking, I work with mixed media and place a strong emphasis on the experimental, experiential and directness. Yet, this directness does carry ambiguity, as I tend to avoid aestheticising the work for its own sake. Instead, the material and process become the integral part. Speaking to vulnerability, impermanence, and the traces we leave behind.

With this in mind, I trust the viewer to engage (or not) with this tension. Recognizing that interpretation is never fixed and control is elusive. My practice embraces this uncertainty, positioning the artwork not just as an object, but as an event that unfolds in the dynamic between maker, material, and audience.
